charlie didnt die in the first series he just stopped breathing for a little while dosen’t mean he died. Plus he drowned so when Hurley see’s him it’s obviously someone else hired by the the ones who want to find Lockes group which are probably still hiding on the island.

No he IS dead there is even a sneak peek that shows…..**SPOILER**…………Sayid, Sawyer, Desmond, Juliet, Bernard and Jin on the beach talking about how he’s dead. No way he could survive, the only way we’ll see him is in a weird island vision or a flashback.
